2008 Asian Footvolley Tournament

Objective:

  • To increase awareness and popularity of the sport in Asia, as well as carry Footvolley to be an official sport in the Asia Beach Games and be televised in other various competitions in the future.
  • To promote tournaments both domestically within Asia and Internationally
  • To meet and counsel with other Footvolley association representatives for establishing a Footvolley Confederation of Asia

Project Details:

Number of Teams The 4 National teams that participated in the training were:

  1. Indonesia 1 team
  2. Malaysia 1 team
  3. Singapore 1 team
  4. Thai 1 team

Team Schedule

  • First Day All teams assemble to listen to a description of the rules, meet one another, and give a demonstration of ‘how to play’ by the Thai National team
  • Second Day Organize a tournament wherein all teams compete against one another, with the team that obtains the most points declared as the Grand Champion
  • Time and Location The 26 – 27th November 2008 at the Footvolley Stadium, Praputt Kamlang-ek Football Club, 17/1 Soi Pridi Banomyong 21, Sukhumvit 71 Road, Phrakhanongnue, Watthana, Bangkok

Implementation Model

  • Prepare a ‘Coaching Clinic’ for the teams that participated in the training and demonstrate the Thai national playing ability
  • On the second day, organize a full tournament along with an award ceremony as a souvenir for all the teams that came to participate in the training
